Serious XR is proud to announce a partnership with the construction company Heijmans. This collaboration introduces innovative learning opportunities for their operations through the NEN 3140 VP Virtual Reality (VR) application, specifically designed for toolbox meetings.

Traditional training methods often fall short in terms of realism and safety. Practicing in live environments is limited and risky, while classroom training does not fully prepare operators for high-pressure situations.

Using Virtual Reality, we created a digital learning environment in which operators can experience realistic tunnel scenarios without impacting daily operations. Users train procedures, emergency responses and system interactions in a safe, controlled setting.

The VR environment is built around a digital twin of the control room and SCADA system. Everything behaves as it does in real life, ensuring actions are directly transferable to daily operations. The modular setup allows new scenarios, tunnels or regulatory changes to be added with ease.
